Description:
With two adjoining sites in Blairgowrie, the brief was to create something truly unique not only for the site but for the suburb. These two beach houses respond accordingly. Conceived as ‘bookends’ on a large parcel of land, with each lot subdivided into approximately 1,000 square metres, the planning of the two houses allowed for the greatest possible separation (23 metres apart). Each house shares numerous characteristics – two storey, abundant use of concrete, aluminum and generous glazing, along with each one having its own swimming pool, they both also come with generous open plan living areas and four bedrooms, with the main suites taking in views over Port Phillip Bay.
